Overview

For a joint campaign between Vans and Zalando, we were asked to produce a set of high-quality product photos that reflected the bold, rebellious spirit of the Vans brand. Beyond the official deliverables, we took the initiative to create a handcrafted stop-motion video that added a playful and unexpected twist to the visual campaign.

Challenges & Approach

While the core production focused on clean, expressive imagery of the sneakers, we saw an opportunity to push the creative boundaries further. We developed and animated a short stop-motion sequence entirely in-house—frame by frame, combining traditional animation craft with a modern visual effect to enhance the look and feel. The goal: turn a simple product moment into something surprising and memorable.

The Result

The final result was a cohesive set of stills and a stylized motion piece that stood out across digital platforms. The stop-motion video, though not part of the original brief, was met with enthusiasm and added extra creative value to the campaign—proving that great content often starts where the official task ends.
